Microsoft Dreamspark


Dreamspark is an initiative by Microsoft to provide students with software design and development tools at no charge. The dreamspark program was announced by Bill gates on feb 19, 2008 during a speech at Stanford.

The various programs offered on Dreamspark include:
  • Visual studio 2008 and Visual studio 2005 professional edition
  • Expression studio 2
  • Microsoft SQL server 2008 and Microsoft SQL server 2005 developer edition
  • Windows server 2003 R2 standard edition with sp2
  • XNA game studio
  • Microsoft IT academy student pass and many more..
Students can register themselves on the official dreamspark website
https://www.dreamspark.com/ and download the available softwares. Or they could get the same in the form of CDs at NIIT centres by just showing their college IDs.
